Outside Vancouver’s historic David Lam Hall and amid colourful, crunchy leaves, the streets became an extension of the runway, showcasing a medley of styles that defined this fall’s key trends. For Vancouver Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2025, the city’s street stylers embraced the transformative power of colour and cut, mixing boldness with refinement and injecting a fresh sense of self-expression into the season.
Recurring shades of pink, fuchsia and magenta dominated the scene, adding warmth and vibrancy to typically neutral fall looks. The prevalence of pink highlighted a desire to break away from traditional autumn hues and embrace something brighter and more playful.
Among the colours was a prominent punk influence, blending the polish of tailored pieces with the rebellion of grunge and rock elements. Blazers and trench coats were paired with plaid skirts, graphic tees and studded belts, offering a fresh take on Vancouver’s evolving identity.
For men, ties made an unexpected comeback, taking centre stage in street style. No longer just a symbol of formality, ties were worn with relaxed sweater vests and oversized jackets, bringing a playful sophistication to everyday looks. Paired with balloon jeans—a revived silhouette from the ’90s—the combination exuded a sense of carefree confidence and effortlessness.
